Robert Gomez Dame Area is literally the first electronic band **ever** to notice that their drum machine includes conga and bongo patches. It's true. I looked it up. The results are spectacular! Insanely good stuff.

Liam DV Unique, cutting edge. Tribal but cold. Like if a female fronted hybrid of Throbbing Gristle and Esplendor Geometrico had the percussion of Roberto di Simone or Cut Hands. The rhythms are something else I can't put my finger on. Every song is quite different but feels like a whole. All hail the tribal wave!

Art Fin Heard it on WFMU's "Spectrum Audio" show and bought it. Industrial with tribal beats juxtaposed with boisterous Latin chanting. It's like Bomba Estereo fronting Front 242, fuego and ice at the same time.

about

We are really proud to welcome Dame Area in the Mannequin Records family.

Hailing from Barcelona, Silvia Konstance and Viktor L.Crux (a collaborator of Nurse With Wound and J.Arbeit from Einstürzende Neubauten) developed during the last years a unique music style recognized as "Tribal Wave".
Mixing synth bassline arpeggios and live percussions, noises and congas, industrialism and tribalism, Italian and Spanish, Dame Area are running across the same path and breathing the same air of the EBM/Industrial driven Diseño Corbusier or the drum compositions of Roberto De Simone.

Starting to play live and releasing their music in 2018 for their own label and venue Màgia Roja (with the support of fans like Julian Cope and Yamatsuka Eye), their incessant touring schedule has already seen them play all over Europe in the past couple of years. Since 2019 they also play live as a trio with Jesse Webb from Gnod/Anthroprophh at the drums/percussion.

For fans of: Diseño Corbusier, Esplendor Geometrico, Einstürzende Neubauten, group A, Kris Baha
